Gladys Corbin’s (Bonnie Burroughs) risky gamble will come back to haunt her, and so will her cousin Sonny Corinthos, according to General Hospital spoilers and news (Maurice Benard). Gladys wants Sonny to help her by covering her gambling debt, but he probably has another option that she might not like.
General Hospital Spoilers – Why Did She Sell The Garage Below Market?
Sonny and Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) have previously discussed how Sasha disagreed with Gladys’ insistence on selling Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) garage. After their baby Liam Corbin (an uncast infant) died, Sasha experienced severe emotional problems and had to be placed under a guardianship. Gladys, Brando’s mother, took over as guardian after Brando, her first guardian, was killed; however, Gladys soon began to frequent Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) high stakes poker game.
Gladys started betting with Sasha’s money after she lost her own, which is why she sold the garage for less than it was worth. Through word-of-mouth, Sonny learns that his cousin has a serious gambling problem.
General Hospital Updates – Mike Corbin Played Too Much With The Ponies
Sonny recalls the time in the past when his father Mike Corbin (Max Gail) struggled with issues related to playing too much with the horses. He frequently wagered on horses and lost the money, which led to numerous issues and the divorce of his parents. Eventually, in his later years, they came to an understanding and made up, and Mike’s days of gambling were over. He knows he needs to step in when he learns Gladys is in trouble and owes Selina a large sum of money, so he bombards her with inquiries. When he learns how much money Gladys has been losing at the game, he is not pleased. When he learns about the workshop, he is even less pleased.
Gladys Corbin Thinks She’s Being Bailed Out
Gladys thinks Sonny will bail her out so she can continue her addiction when he first tells her what he already knows and what he’s learned. While Sonny will make peace with Selina to maintain their good relationship, he is not simply bailing out Gladys. Gladys needs serious assistance because gambling is an obsession, so he talks to Selina about the issue and removes her from the game.
Sonny will arrange for his relative to attend a nearby GA group so that her gambling addiction can be treated. Gladys needs serious assistance because it turns out that spending all of Sasha’s money is just the tip of the iceberg.
