General Hospital (GH) spoilers and news hint that Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) will unexpectedly consult Scott Baldwin for advice. However, Scott will issue a warning to Cody, which is not altogether unexpected.
General Hospital Spoilers – Rights To His Mother’s Necklace
Although Cody is actually Mac Scorpio’s (John J. York) son, he chooses to remain Leopold Taub’s (Chip Lucia) son in order to obtain the necklace. Though she may have had some jewelry she’d sold, he assumes it must have belonged to his mother, but he is unaware that Scott knows she never had that necklace. Cody gets just enough knowledge of the necklace’s past thanks to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to realize that he may be more entitled to it than she is because her father stole it.
At least, that is the theory; Peter August (Wes Ramsey), who left it to Britt, received it after Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), his “father,” stole it. Cody wants Scott to find his birth certificate so that he can prove his rights when Scott questions his account of events, but he only knows enough to get himself into trouble.
General Hospital Updates – Sam McCall Researched The Necklace
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), who Britt had previously recruited to conduct research on the necklace, was of the opinion that if Peter owned it, he did not get it honestly. Since Dominique Stanton (Shell Danielson), who co-founded Deception, wore a prominent necklace from the 1980s during fashion week in 1989, Sam learned that it was authentic. Although she was unable to locate the original bill of sale, Cody had believed Taub to be his biological father and he had been the last documented owner. Since there was no evidence that it changed hands after that, it was either Dominique or Faison who took it; given that Peter already had it, it was probably Faison. Sam was also able to confirm that four of the gems originated from the Ice Princess diamond and that it was 35 million dollar value.
Dominique Stanton Never Owned It
Cody informs Scott of what he knows, first explaining his presumption that it belonged to his mother because Britt did inform him that Taub was the previous owner and that it was worth a certain amount. Scott is immediately skeptical because he knows she never owned the necklace, despite the fact that Dominique had sold several and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) had made him aware of it. After that, Cody informs him that Taub was the previous owner of the record and that he and Britt believe her father took it from him. However, Cody still needs his birth certificate.
A birth certificate listing Taub as Cody’s father may not exist, Scott informs him, given that Dominique had never informed him or Mac about Cody. Scotty cautions Cody that since all he has is from the Bell family and he insists he is real, a birth certificate must exist somewhere.
