According to General Hospital (GH) teasers and news, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will succumb to Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) pressure to significantly sway Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). Given that she is Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) aunt and has the highest chance of finding a bone marrow match, Carly is most likely to cave to Liesl’s pressure.
General Hospital Spoilers – Liesl Obrecht On The Attack
Liesl goes on the attack to tell Carly exactly what she believes she did because she knows that Carly withheld the information that Willow is Nina’s other twin for months. She enters an elevator with her at the hospital, hits the stop button, and hands the elevator over to the patient. Unexpectedly, Carly doesn’t even make an effort to defend herself; in fact, she even displays some sympathy because Josslyn Jacks, Carly’s daughter, was killed while defending Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).
Liesl didn’t inform Carly about asking Dr. Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) about having a bone marrow match test done for Willow. Liesl would be Willow’s only other surviving family outside Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver), and even that would be risky, so Carly surely takes that into account.
General Hospital Updates – Liesl Obrecht Makes Strong Suggestions
Liesl provides some stern recommendations on how Carly may make up for the suffering she caused Nina by denying access to her offspring. She wants her to persuade Willow to accept her mother and give Nina a chance before it’s too late, even though she knows it’s a long shot. Included in it are Wiley and the young child, Amelia Corinthos (Owen and Nathan Ford), who Nina has seen but hasn’t been able to hold. In fact, Liesl brings up Britta Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and how she sacrificed her life in order to free Josslyn from the Hook, something she learnt from Britt before she passed away. As a result of Josslyn telling her directly that Britt sacrificed her life in order to save her, Carly is now painfully aware of that truth as well.
Pleasantly Surprised?
In a rather unexpected move, Carly responds to Liesl’s pleas and guilt-tripping by agreeing to speak with Willow first about giving Nina a chance. If Willow gains Nina’s trust, which is a given if she lives long enough, then spending time with the grandkids ought to come naturally. Since she understands that she and her hatred for Nina contributed significantly to Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) hatred of Nina, Carly will also speak with him.
Nobody contests the fact that Nina would have attempted to save Willow’s deceased twin Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier), but she was likely beyond saving. Carly is aware that much of her resentment of Nina is a carryover from her resentment of Nelle.
