Say it isn’t so! General Hospital comings and goings say that it looks like another one is biting the dust here. There are new reports that say Marcus Coloma, who is best known for his role as Nikolas Cassadine on the hit ABC soap, is leaving Port Charles. Here’s what you need to know!

According to reports, Marcus has decided not to film his last scenes after he learned that he was fired from the show. As many fans know, he’s currently in the middle of a huge storyline with Esme Prince and Victor Cassadine. That, and he’s just served his wife Ava Jerome with divorce appears and also has a complicated relationship with his son, Spencer. If that weren’t enough, he’s also dealing with all of the fallout from “The Hook” in Port Charles.

Needless to say, many General Hospital fans sure had a lot to say about the matter. Some comments on social media have included, “Unless it was in his contract to have to work after termination, he has no obligation to stay and perform work functions. I hope Nikolas doesn’t get killed by the hook! I didn’t care for Coloma from jump, he seemed way too young for me,” along with, “So I can’t tell if Nicholas is going to be gone-gone (as in dead) or they are going to replace him? If they are replacing him which dark haired actor in their late 40’s or at 50 (same as Tyler Christopher & Maura West) is out there? Also, said actor needs to be willing to suck up to Maurice Bernard because apparently that’s what you need to do at GH.”

Another critic stated, “The last time the character went, we assumed he had been slain. I’m curious as to whether he will survive or be ensnared in different situations. It appears that he didn’t like how Nik’s leave was scripted if he didn’t want to film his final scenes. Although I know a lot of folks on this site detested him as Nik, I think he did good in the part.

Marcus hasn’t spoken out on the subject yet, but it will be intriguing to see whether he is going to be replaced by another actor. Observe this space.
