General Hospital Comings And Goings: Is Vanessa Marcil Returning To Port Charles?
In a recent interview with SoapHub, Vanessa stated that she would be totally receptive to returning to General Hospital. My God, you know, I will finally, she exclaimed. There is simply no chance that it won’t. Knowing full well that I detest even mentioning it, I won’t, but it will ultimately happen.
She continued, “If they hadn’t given me my first chance there, I wouldn’t have a job, [my family] wouldn’t have the beautiful lifestyles we have, so I’ll always honour where I came from. However, I also just adore that character so much. She is such a complex, amazing figure who, in my opinion, was way ahead of her time.
Vanessa potentially going back to her daytime broadcast roots has been the subject of rumours before. She made some rather flirtatious remarks on Maurice Benard’s Instagram account back in March 2022, causing many people to think that a Sonny and Brenda reunion was imminent. As many fans of General Hospital will remember, Brenda and gangster Sonny Corinthos started their sultry relationship at a time when crime was rampant in Port Charles. General Hospital had some of its highest ratings in the early 1990s due in part to Brenda and Sonny’s scorching and passionate chemistry.
General Hospital Comings And Goings: Maurice Wants Her Back, Too!
Maurice acknowledged that he would adore seeing Vanessa back on the picture. “She would have been back about five years ago,” he declared. She provides scores, and multiplying two by two yields four. So, it makes sense to bring her back.
