We broke the devastating news of General Hospital heroine Sonya Eddy’s passing in December 2022. For the majority of the soap opera’s existence to date, the vivacious actress has played the position of head nurse Epiphany. Later, in January 2023, we informed you that a special episode of General Hospital will run to pay tribute to the outstanding Sonya Eddy, who played Nurse Epiphany. It’s interesting to note that the special episode will run shortly before and right after General Hospital’s 60th Anniversary festivities and the renowned Nurses Ball.
Another significant information regarding the special General Hospital episode broke earlier today. Actor Drew Cheetwood could be familiar to longtime watchers. Between 2016 until 2020, he played the recurrent role of Milo Giambetti. The actor said that he had shot a couple scenes for Sonya’s special episode on his Facebook page. Drew said that he initially shot for General Hospital twenty years ago. The actor also mentioned that he was approximately 20 years old at the time and that he is currently roughly 40 years old when filming for the venerable ABC soap opera.
Drew Cheetwood acknowledged his appreciation for having the chance to work on General Hospital. He mentioned how he got to appear with his real-life brother, Derk Cheetwood, in the ABC serial opera (Max). It’s interesting to note that Drew initially met his wife, Jenna, on the General Hospital sets. The couple has three lovely children and is happily married. The actor did acknowledge, though, that it was challenging for him to return to the GH sets. He recalled Sonya as someone who, with her amazing light, instantaneously lighted up the world.
They would all miss her dearly, the General Hospital actress thought. He enthusiastically exclaimed that it is a pleasure to “pay respect to that brightness.” Also, Drew took a minute to express in his article how fleeting life is. He correctly noted that we need to hang onto the individuals we care about and love. He exhorted us not to put off making atonement and reconciliation until the next day. Everything in life is subject to change. So pick up the phone right away and call the person you need to call to repair the problem. He also stressed that we must take a lesson from Sonya and make people’s life full of love and joy.
