To commemorate his good friend and leading woman, Drew Cheetwood returns to General Hospital.

Although there wasn’t much focus on the relationship between Sonya Eddy’s Epiphany and Milo played by Drew Cheetwood, General Hospital viewers remember it fondly. Recently, Cheetwood disclosed how he’ll pay tribute to his late co-star and on-screen love interest in a future episode.

In a touching Instagram post, the actor revealed some of the specifics of filming General Hospital’s ode to Eddy.

Cheetwood wrote on Instagram, “Almost 20 years ago, I filmed my first episode of General Hospital. “I was almost twenty, and I’m almost forty now. Yesterday’s filming made me realise just how appreciative I am for all the opportunities this programme has given me. For more than ten years, I co-starred in the programme as brothers with my actual brother (Derk Cheetwood, formerly Max).

As a young boy in Ohio, I could only dream of working with performers on the programme, he said. “I had the opportunity to observe such skill and professionalism in action in the production, script, cinematography, casting, and prop departments, to name just a few. Everything I do to sell properties in real estate today is influenced by it. My wife and I met on this programme, which is also how we came to have our three lovely daughters. For me, it doesn’t get much larger than that.

Gathering to Celebrate a Dear GH Friend

The actor explains, “I was called to assist honour that light yesterday.” “Giving back in this way was such an honour after everything the show has given me. Life is precarious, and my, is it moving fast. So don’t be alarmed by it. just indicates that we should be holding the individuals we care about and love closer. Call that number once you pick up the phone. Start right now. Where you can, make apologies. Pray. Often. I also say a lot of this to myself. Just so you’re aware.

Cheetwood admits that “yesterday’s show was a challenging one to record,” perhaps alluding to the already scheduled tribute episode to Eddy and her role. “Unexpectedly in December, we lost a wonderful person. Sonya Eddy’s tremendous radiance illuminated our entire universe. To so many people, she represented so many lovely things. She will be sorely missed.
