The author’s and his alone’s views on General Hospital are expressed here. They’re usually right on point, properly biting, and amusing.

Every fan has their own perspective about General Hospital, and Soap Hub is no different. We watched everything—the good, the ugly, and everything in between—for five days, and now we’re here to give you a helpful recap and a lighthearted analysis of the GH week that was.

General Hospital: The Critic Ponders

Initially, this column was going to be stuffed to the gills with criticisms of the lunacy that was not only killing Adam Huss’s character Nikolas Cassadine (and after the character had been thoroughly assassinated), but also the careless manner in which the act was carried out and the corpse was disposed of.

only for Friday’s episode to follow.

Do you recall how we spoke about all those fallen metaphorical anvils last week? Well, when Austin (Roger Howarth) went to such great lengths to persuade Ava (Maura West) that they shouldn’t rehearse “The Trouble With Harry,” I couldn’t help but hear yet another thunderous thud.

Would anybody else like to start the timer for Nikolas’s triumphant — or unsuccessful — comeback? No? Do I have to do it? … Alright. Five…Four…Three…Two…One…

Further GH Musings

  • No Truer Words and Other Phrases:

Elizabeth’s “conscience” frequently surfaces at inconvenient times, according to Ava.

Speaking of Elizabeth, why wasn’t she gazing at a picture of all three of her kids if the idea was to emphasise what exactly she would lose if she turned herself in to authorities? Has Jake’s history been changed in any way?

  • Stop watching Willow Tait as she lies on her deathbed!

I wish General Hospital will emphasise Laura and Curtis’ friendship. What a fantastic duo.

  • I see that “Bring Linc To Justice” is still in progress. Yay?
  • Although I am hesitant to advise adding any more actors or characters to this already crowded canvas, I couldn’t help but believe that we should sign contracts with Rico Ross (Dr. Sterling Robinson) and Gavin Houston (Zeke Robinson), two wonderful gentlemen with more than passable acting abilities.

Considering that Ross’s alter ego is a doctor, it would make sense for the soap opera General Hospital to hire more employees for the named facility. Furthermore, Houston’s Zeke has no shortage of attractive women he might entice—and perhaps turn off. Didn’t the man appear to be a little bit of a heartbreaker?
