5 Ways ‘General Hospital’ Could Reunite Carly & Sonny Corinthos

General Hospital exes Sonny Corinthos and Carly Corinthos Spencer seem further apart than they’ve been in years. Yet many fans really want to see “CarSon” reunite. Is there any way these very estranged ex-spouses can every work it out? We’ve got five ideas for GH to get them back together on the ABC soap opera.

#1 Donna Corinthos Crisis Could Reunite Sonny Corinthos & Her Mom on General Hospital

Although Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Brielle) is doing fine now, you may recall she was born with Spina Bifida. It was scary for a moment, but thanks to surgery, she came through it fine. If something changes, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will be there for her.

And so would Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright) on GH. If their daughter were in a crisis, that would be one way to bring these two back together. Long nights at the hospital could rekindle what they felt for each other.

Right now, it seems like a long shot for Carly to get back with Sonny on General Hospital. Each is seeing someone new. Although the mobster’s a lot more serious about his new partner, his ex is definitely vibing with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

#2 Carly Corinthos Hits Rock Bottom Over Willow Crisis & Runs to her Ex on GH

Another storyline cooking on GH that could reunite them is the issue with Willow Tait (Katelynn MacMullen). Although she doesn’t know it, Carly Spencer’s putting the young woman’s life at risk with her lies. She despises Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

And Willow’s adoptive mom begged her never to tell Nina the truth. So, in Carly’s mind, she’s keeping a ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜʙᴇᴅ promise to someone. But once it comes out that she lied to Nina, Willow, and Drew, Carly likely faces trouble.

General Hospital could have Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) rage at his mom like he’s done to his dad. Perhaps if Carly Spencer winds up persona non grata like Sonny Corinthos, she might judge him less harshly and apologize.

#3 Sonny’s Girlfriend Could Betray Him on General Hospital

Now on GH, Sonny’s happy with Nina. But that could change. She’s been known to cook up schemes, lie, and do bad things too. So, if Nina somehow did her boyfriend dirty, it could pave the way back for “CarSon”.

For instance, if Nina cheats on him or lies to Sonny, he might dump her. There are no signs of this yet on General Hospital. But it could turn out that way. Perhaps when she finds out she has a daughter, Nina will change her life.

She’s not too concerned about canoodling with a mobster. But if she’s got a daughter and two grandkids to worry about, being involved with the town’s top mobster might be an issue. So, Nina might break it off with Sonny Corinthos, so he gets back with his ex.

#4 Carly & Sonny Could Fall Back into Bed While Tipsy on GH

There’s also a long history of bad habits between these two, even when they’re dating others on General Hospital. Remember when Carly Spencer was engaged to Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth)? She cheated with Sonny all the time.

And Franco busted her for it. But after her split from Franco, she ran right back to Sonny. They have a history of straying back to each other even when dating others. Could they do it again? Maybe. Especially if alcohol is involved.

These exes might have a few drinks and tumble into the sheets. If so, he might get dumped (and her too). So, maybe Sonny and Carly recalling their chemistry in the bedroom could help get them back together on General Hospital.

The best way for Sonny to find his way back to Carly is to realize they’re soulmates that belong together. If you’re a GH fan that ships this longtime couple, you might agree that they’re meant to be a duo.

After all, they never stay apart too long on the ABC soap. So, most viewers expect them to land back in each other’s lives. After all, it’s nothing but awkward every time they’re around each other on General Hospital.

Although Sonny’s smitten with Nina right now, perhaps he’ll see that it’s a passing fancy. And the same could go for Carly with Drew. Will Sonny Corinthos ever make it back to Carly Spencer Corinthos? Maybe. But it’ll take something big to make it happen it seems.
