These ladies should come return to Port Charles, please.
When it comes to amazing starring women, General Hospital is by no means lacking. But there are a few characters from the show’s past who could liven up the soap opera and a few plotlines. Here are four exceptional actors we’d like to see return to General Hospital.
General Hospital: Rebecca Budig
Hayden disappeared from Port Charles after placing Violet (Jophielle Love) in Finn’s (Michael Easton) embrace, and fans haven’t seen a hair of her since. Rebecca Budig’s return to the challenging character on GH has been hotly anticipated, and for good cause.
Her depiction of the cunning scam artist who recovered after a near-death experience was always so detailed and vivid. Finn’s relationship with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) is strained, so a visit from her half-sister would be unsettling. Additionally, Violet’s mother would be reconnected with her.
GH: Emme Rylan
Since poor Lulu has been unconscious since 2020, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) is allowed to continue his relationship with Sam (Kelly Monaco). The one challenge that could completely upset them is about to reappear now that the couple is happy together: Lulu.
Emme Rylan should return in the soap, and Lulu should gradually recover awareness and take back control of her life. Lulu became a compelling figure thanks to Rylan’s witty, feisty portrayal of her. Besides being a legacy character – Luke and Laura’s only daughter – she’s also Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) closest companion and has been greatly missed.
General Hospital: Vanessa Marcil
Would an article on “actresses we’d like to see return on GH” be complete without a mention of Vanessa Marcil? Without a doubt. Brenda, played by Marcil, was once the centre of a heated love triangle involving Sonny (Maurice Benard), Jax (Ingo Rademacher), and another guy.
Brenda returning to town would undoubtedly upset Sonny’s complex life and friendship with Nina (Cynthia Watros). Imagine the pyrotechnics she would set off with Nina, as well as the chance that Carly (Laura Wright) would support Brenda for the first time.
GH: Haley Erin
Why can’t Ava (Maura West) have an identical daughter that Nina was unaware of? Or maybe Hayley Erin, who was wonderful as the late Kiki, would return to General Hospital as a completely different character.
It wouldn’t be the soap’s first time taking that turn. What a captivating performer Erin is. She can portray any role, including those of a virtuous and bad girl. Having the opportunity to see her exchange moments with West again would be a real joy. And consider all the other stories a talented performer like her could enliven.
